Mohammad Reza Mortazavi 2014

The artist is from Isfahan and is a world renowned Tombak and Daf player (traditional persian hand drum). As a solo artist Mohammad Reza Mortazavi produces sounds of orchestral proportions. His playing technique allows for simultaneous playing of polyrhythmic beats, sophisticated melodies and polyphonic compositions that entwine with each other creating truly hypnotic worlds of sound. He has won many awards and is considered the world best. 

 

I am delighted to be bringing the artist to Cornwall to  perform at The Performance Centre, Falmouth University on the 26th April 2014!
